The Health Promotion Clearinghouse is a non-profit resource system for enhancing Nova Scotia health promotion and disease prevention capacity with:
- a powerful web presence (www.hpclearinghouse.ca,), with news, calendar, information & group profiles
- 2500+ quality peer reviewed resources for more than 40,000 annual visitors from 163 countries
- a twice-monthly e-bulletin with Health Promotion news & events, for over 1000 subscribers
- a web application (HPC Network) with free web pages & tools for over 800 members and 32 groups
- timely, personalized human resource support (toll free #877-890-5094) and on-line support - who we are
This HPC Network (launched at the Halifax CPHA, June 2008) is the social networking component of the Health Promotion Clearinghouse using the award winning Telligent Community Server implemented by ITScooperative. It was implemented to enhance communication and knowledge exchange.
