The Framework for Action was developed by the Nova Scotia Roundtable on Youth Sexual Health, a multi-sectoral group of health professionals, educators and government and non-government policy and program staff. The Framework provides a rationale and strategic direction for a comprehensive approach to sexual health education, services and supports for all youth throughout the province. The Framework is intended for policy makers and decision makers from a variety of sectors and for people working in the area of youth sexual health.
The Roundtable functions as a steering committee, overseeing and liaising with the various working groups.There are 5 provincial working groups according to the 5 components of the Framework listed below. A Roundtable website was developed by to facilitate their communication with youth at http://www.nsyouthsexualhealth.com/.
