The Purpose of the Nova Scotia Network for Workplace Health is...
To connect, share and learn with people, businesses and organizations working in and sharing an interest in creating healthy workplaces in Nova Scotia.
Objectives:
- Create and mobilize an inventory of Nova Scotian stories and resources that can support those people who work in the area of creating healthy workplaces in Nova Scotia
- Identify an informal network of healthy workplace champions throughout Nova Scotia
- Link with and incorporate Nova Scotian inventory and stories with existing websites/networks (Health Promotion Clearinghouse Network)
- Have bimonthly informal meetings as an opportunity to physically meet and share information/guest speakers
- Share notification of events and opportunities with network "members"
- Connect with existing venues such as conferences and workshops to promote members' resources
- Consider hosting a provincial forum/conference every two years
